أَتَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنْسَوْنَ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ {44}

What! do you enjoin men to be good… and neglect your own souls… while you read the Book…have you then no sense? Surah Baqarah 2:44

The Prophet assured them that true repentance would lead to friendship in Paradise and brotherhood here on Earth. He promised them wealth and that their shame would be forgotten by people.

The leaders openly accepted faith in Allah and acknowledged the Prophet Muhammad (S) as His messenger, recognizing Ali (a.s.) as the Prophet’s brother and helper. They compared their bond to that of Harun and Musa (a.s.), noting that Muhammad is the last messenger.

وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ

And seek assistance through patience and prayer…and most surely it is…hard thing…except for the humble ones… Surah Baqarah 2:45

Furthermore, maintaining your five daily prayers and sending Durood upon Muhammad and his family will help you draw closer to Paradise.
